Junior Monthe two goals in a 6-0 win over Daemen

Junior forward Willie Monthe (Metz, France) scored two goals in three minutes (40’ & 43’) to give UMFK men’s soccer a 3-0 halftime lead on their way to a 6-0 shutout of host Daemen College in a USCAA match-up in Amherst, New York Sunday afternoon. UMFK (4-0) picked up their fourth shutout in as many games to open the year.

The Bengal youth played very well as Matt Dunn (Fy., Dallas, TX) and Ben Kluvers (Fy., Vernon Hills, IL) scored a goal and had an assist each and goal keeper Jamie Cleland (Fy., Dunfermline, Scotland) recorded his fourth shutout of the season making three saves on three DC shots. UMFK outshot DC 24-9 overall and 11-3 on target.
