Maine Presque Isle defeated Maine Fort Kent 3-0 in the six and final match at the Sunrise Conference Women's Volleyball Classic in Fort Kent, Maine. UMPI went 3-0 on the day and improved to 19-3 and 9-0 in SC play while UMFK went 2-1 for the day and fell to 6-6 overall and 4-3 in SC play.
Senior Ashley Ames (Dexter, ME) led UMFK with 11 kills playing in her last home match of her career. Amber Garrison (Oroville, Calif.) added 17 assists for UMFK who will next plays at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada October 31st at 6pm and November 1st at 10am.
